3 Reasons Why Employee Empowerment Matters and How to do it

Transcript:

Have you ever felt like you’re struggling to keep up with the demands of your business, even though you’re working hard? Or maybe you feel like your business is sucking the life out of you and you’re just going through the motions. If so, you’re not alone. A study by Gallup found that only about one-third of employees worldwide are engaged at work. This means that two-thirds of your employees are not engaged!

As a result, they are not helping your business grow. And some are actively slowing you down! In this video, I will discuss employee empowerment and why it’s essential for your small business. I’ll also give you three tips on how to empower your employees. Stay tuned!

Employee empowerment is a way to increase employee engagement, and it starts with you, the business owner. You need to empower your employees to take control of their work and their careers.

Hi, I’m Doug Barra, and I’m a business coach with over 15 years of experience, working with the owners of small businesses like you. I’m honored and sometimes a bit daunted by this experience. You see, I believe that the owners of small local businesses are some of the most courageous people in the world. You put your heart and soul into your business, and you deserve to have a business that meets your needs and the needs of your family.

I’ve seen firsthand how employee empowerment can make a huge difference in a business. So why is employee empowerment so important?

Here are three reasons why employee empowerment matters:

1. Employee Empowerment leads to employee engagement. When employees feel they have a say in how the business runs, they’re more likely to be invested in their work.

2. Employee Empowerment, encourages creativity and innovation. Giving employees the freedom to develop new ideas and put their spin on things can lead to some significant innovations.

3. Employee Empowerment leads to better customer service. Empowered employees are more likely to take care of your customer’s needs and wants, which can lead to more satisfied customers.

If you’re looking for ways to empower your employees, here are three tips:

1. Give them a voice. Allow employees to contribute their ideas and opinions and consider them when making business decisions.

2. Give them control. Let employees make choices about how they do their work within reason, and let them take ownership of their tasks.

3. Give them training and support. Help employees learn new skills and equip them with the tools they need to do their jobs well.

Empowering your employees is essential for the success of your small business.

When you empower your employees, they’ll be more engaged, creative, and productive. And that leads to a successful business that meets your needs and your family’s needs.
